The Rotary Club of Aberfeldy & District welcomes you to Highland Perthshire, famous for its beautiful scenery and outdoor activities.

Join us for the Marathon, Half Marathon, and The Young Highlander Fun Runs on 1^st September 2012. This is the first Marathon and Half Marathon we have held and we are doing so in partnership with some National and Local Charities. A great big thank you to all our Sponsors and Charities partners, for all their help, advice, and funding in the preparation and running of this event.

As we are all volunteers, we do not take any fees nor have we any paid staff, so all the funds we raise through this event goes to Charity. We are also able to keep the entry fee realistic with great value for your money but without reducing the quality of your experience. Have a quick look around the site and see how we have over the past two years raised upwards of £20k for charitable causes.

We are well used to organising outdoor events and we treat the safety of every competitor in every event with the highest standard of care. That is why we have on standby a professional organisation called Matterhorn Medical which aims to run the event to HSE regulations and provide medical care onsite with ambulance availability.

We have provided a secure online encrypted facility through EntryCentral to take your entry and payment and you will be provided with an immediate receipt. So jog on over to entry before 30^th June 2012 for an early bird discount. For postal entries we have provided you a downloadable entry form from this site which you can return with your payment to our Event Secretary.

We really do think that this is one of the best value for money packages on the Scottish circuit. Included in the price is: free camping and car park - a pasta party – post race refreshments – shower & swim – leg massage – ceilidh – vest with number – a medal for each competitor – prizes for each category. Hard to believe we know but it’s just honest to goodness value.

We are limited to 500 competitors and we are working very hard to make your visit extremely enjoyable and rewarding, join us and see for yourself.
